Behind The Scenes

When I create our limited edition makeup palettes, I always start by referencing the “lip gloss library”. It’s an at-a-glance look at all our glosses that can be poured into pans. My strategy as I hand-pick the shades for each palette is simple—they have to look pretty on a wide range of skin tones. Check out the Ultimate Party Collection (debuting in October) to see the end result.

I love this new blog site. I have been a Bobbi Brown client since I was 35 when I hopped into Saks on 5th Avenue to replace my foundation. I happened to stop by the Bobbi counter and the artist showed me the foundation stick. I said ” You’re going to put a yellow crayon on my face?” After receiving several compliments back at the office, I made a quick stop back to Saks before going home. I am going to be 52 next month and am still a client. I am interested in health and beauty tips for woman my age. I find the Bobbi Brown line has the range of products for all ages and skin types. I am hopefully going to Bobbi’s Studio in Montclair for my birthday in October. I can’t wait!!!

    Thank you so much!!!

I like these colors will have to but on my wish list. I have the modern classic eye and lip palette which I am in love with, however I’m finding that the lip glosses are not available any where else. I totally love the golden topaz in the collection it looks good over my Brownie pink #56 lip stick or alone, I love the way it feels on, my lips don’t feel like they have super glue on them. Is there a chance to get this shade at the counter or on line?
    Thankyou.

Any chance you will bring back the Sugar Blush lip crayon? I love this and can’t find it any more. Is there another one that is close in color? Also, the palette above looks great!

There is always a chance that Sugar Blush can make an appearance in the future, but for now try Blondie Pink Lip Color with Bare Sparkle High Shimmer Lip Gloss – one my new favs.

Love ALL BB Palettes, but shy away from ones with eye AND lip color…..I don’t usually reapply shadow during the day, but DO have to touch up lips many times….so have to put entire palette in makeup in my purse when I just need lip colors. May I suggest a palette with BOTH shadow and lip color, but the lip color portion , “un-hinges”, snaps off, etc. to take along separately? Love the new colors in the this palette anyway.

Speaking of new, I would love, love, love to see the rich color eye shadow find a permanent spot at your make-up counters. They are amazing!!! Truly makes doing a smudgy, smokey eye a piece of cake. The effect is gorgeous w/ minimal effort and time, and the look lasts all day. Just a friendly **hint, hint** ;D

I love the shades and they definitely look like they will work with my skintone. Looking forward to October when this is released.

I was first exposed to BB when I was pregnant with my son. My skintone had changed due to the pregnancy so I had went to MAC where I was purchasing my foundation for a few years. I explained to the rep that I needed to jump up in color due to skin darkening. Well, she proceeded to swab a wrist with two colors, quickly said that neither one will work and that she couldn’t help me further. I was speechless by the poor service and the ultimate diss of being told that she couldn’t help me. I was determined to leave that mall with foundation in hand. Walked into Belks where my eyes gravitated towards the BB counter. I explained to the salesperson what just happened to me at MAC. She proceeded to give me the best makeover ever. I left that counter feeling like a queen….big belly and all. Soon after I made it a point to update my make-up with BB products every paycheck. And I haven’t been disappointed yet. :)

I love the BB shadow palettes, but NOT the ones with lipcolors. The lipcolor needs to reapplied and NOT the shadow, so I have to take the entire compact with me every day. Would love to see separate palettes or ones that have the lipcolor “tray” removable w/ it’s own cover to take along…….Been using BB for over 18 yrs. and love it!!

Hi Bobbi! Thank you for creating a line of make-up and skin care products that lets me feel good about being me. I am 49 years old, work as a RN in a hospital oncology unit. The hours are long and the work is tough but I truly love my job. When you wear scrubs all day, a girl needs a way to feel pretty…….sparlkling beautiful eyes, healthy skin, colorful yet natural pink lips, along with great earings or a hot pink watch! You are the best pal a gal could have! Love ya!!!!!!!!!

Just want to voice my very loud complaint that you have stopped selling heather beige lip liner. Seriously, it took me years to find the perfect color and then you just stop selling it. Until it is available again, I have had to find a replacement from a different makeup company. Please, please bring it back. It was your best-selling lip pencil…I mean why????

I have converted my 57 year old and 50 year old sisters to you and we are all sold on Bobbi Brown!!!! Thanks for taking the time for women over 40!!!! :)

Hi Heidi- Thanks for being such a great Bobbi fan. The decision to discontinue a shade is never made lightly and is made in response to new advancements in formulations or due to consumer preferences.
